Trichoscopy

Matthew (PHH)

Trichoscopy is a blanket term used to describe the analysis of scalp and hair, often assisted through micro-zoomed imaging. Trichoscopy is useful in the diagnosis of hair loss disorders and diseases of the scalp, with methods of analysis ranging from non-invasive (i.e., imaging) to semi-invasive (i.e., hair plucking tests) to invasive (i.e., scalp biopsies).
