Name Ingredients:
Malabar kino bark is derived from the dark sap of the Indian kino tree. This ingredient is thought to have antimicrobial, antifungal and astringent properties that balance scalp oil and prevent infection of the hair follicles.
Key insights:
- The in vitro evidence suggests that Malabar kino bark may have anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-microbial activity which may help to promote a healthy scalp and therefore reduce hair loss.
- The in vivo (in rats) evidence suggests that this ingredient may reduce elevated inflammatory marker levels in rats with type 2 diabetes which may also be helpful for reducing inflammation in the scalp, however, there don’t appear to have been any studies carried out looking at Malabar kino bark in the context of hair loss.
- Our experience tracking members: by itself, Malabar kino bark is not enough to improve hair loss outcomes.
