Name Ingredients:

CB-03-01, also known as Breezula™ or clascoterone, is a topical medication generating interest as a potential therapy for androgenetic alopecia (AGA).

Key insights:

  • The in vitro data suggests that CB-03-01 was at least as potent as finasteride in inhibiting testosterone-induced androgen receptor activity.
  • It has also been found to be effective at reducing the secretion of IL-6.
  • The clinical data suggests that CB-03-01 is effective for a subgroup of women under 30, which was unexpected.
    • Another phase II study showed significant improvements in target hair counts and hair growth assessment scores across all active groups compared to the vehicle control, with the highest change occurring in the 7.5% twice-daily group.
  • Unfortunately, because all of the clinical data has only been publicized via press releases, we may not have all of the information about the efficacy of this drug.
  • Our experience tracking members shows CB-03-01 alone is insufficient to improve hair loss outcomes.
