Seasonal hair shedding is a phenomenon whereby hair shedding rates can increase and decrease – all depending on the time of the year. In the Northern Hemisphere, shedding rates typically peak in July and August as a result of fluctuations to daylight hours and UVB radiation exposure from the sun, as well as shifts to our circadian rhythms.
