Terminal hairs are loosely defined as hairs that have enough pigment, length, and thickness to be noticeable to the naked eye. Specifically, terminal hairs:
- Are greater than 40µm in diameter
- Can grow at least 30mm in length
- Have some pigment
Resultantly, terminal hairs are the hairs that actually matter when it comes to hair regrowth.
