Hair Counts

"Hair Counts" are a measurement tool in hair loss research. Before administering a treatment, Investigation groups will often use a micro-zoomed device known as a phototrichogram to measure the number of hairs in a fixed area. After a treatment period is completed, that same group will review the same fixed area to measure the changes to hair counts. The best-designed investigations will temporarily tattoo a freckle so that they can return to the same exact area after treatment. See this example:
