Hair Diameters are a measurement of hair thickness. Because some hair loss disorders – like androgenic alopecia – involve hair follicle miniaturization (i.e., progressive thinning of each strand of hair), changes to hair diameters before/after treatments can partly determine if an intervention is working and/or contributing to changes in overall hair density.
